Nick turned the big 3-1 a few days ago ... it was on a Thursday so we opted for a little family party :) I made seared ahi salad with avocado and cucumber and grilled up some ribeyes with a baby greens salad. Of course no party is complete without cake! Instead if indulging in an entire cake, I opted for a champagne cake square from Nugget -- Nugget has a great bakery! I recently co-hosted a baby shower for my girlfriend Crystal (twins!) and ordered a delicious fruit basket cake from Nugget too ...
Anyway - Colson thought it was pretty fun to sing and blow candles out, once, twice, I think we did it three times :) We told him that morning that it was daddy's birthday and that we were going to have a "party" later that day after he got home from school. That whole morning he was skipping around sisnging: "daddy-party, daddy-party" So cute.
He has gotten used to parties -- from March to June we had a bday party almost every weekend. This past saturday he asked if we were going to a party!
