houseboats

Ok so I think we are caught up on the posts ... we just got back from a trip to lake Shasta with my parents, brother, and a couple of my aunts & uncles. We cruised the lake on a houseboat and enjoyed some sun, swimming and good food!

M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E

We were at Nick's grandmas' house and his sister Anna dug up some old toys and a pair of mouse ears! This hat is OG - circa ... I'm not even sure! 50s/60s era ... it has "Street" embroidered on the back of it. One day Colson we'll take you to Disneyland! My parents' beach house is pretty close to Disneyland, so Colson might just have to get a season pass!

"Welcome Theta Sisters"

A few of the gals from Theta got together a couple weekends back. Thanks to Mindy's parents who graciously hosted with swimming & BBQ. Mindy's mom is so cute - they live in a gated community so at the gate callbox there was a sign that read: Welcome Theta Sisters.

starting solids!

A few days shy of his 5-month birthday, we gave Colson a little bit of rice cereal and here are the pics ... took a long time to get just maybe half of the food actually in him :) He's way better at spoon-feeding now! Although it's just for practice and fun. We've also given him a little bit of banana and let him taste the juice from different fruits -- he's in love with watermelon! It's a fun bright color and he loves the juice from it.

more swimming

Here's Colson in the pool at our friends' Justin&Julie's house. I think this was his second time swimming -- still not sure what he thinks of it! We found this cute inflatable "jet ski" for him to lounge around it :)

Colson is becoming more and more mobile each day! We are really going to have to get the house baby proofed soon. He's rolling over from both tummy to back and back to tummy now both ways ... he can roll and roll one way to get to a toy that he wants :) He also does this scooting thing using his legs to push his upper body forward, but hasn't learned to incorporate his arms yet.

thank heaven for little boys

We have been so busy! So, I'll try to post everything that we've been doing this summer ... a few weekends back we went to the Gouge's to celebrate Matts 29th bday. There were three other little boys there too - all born within a few weeks of each other.

Here's me & Katrina with Colson & Ryan. Ryan was born just one day before Colson. Then there's all the mamas with their boys: me & Colson, Katrina & Ryan, Jana Lee & Wesley, Lisa & Isaac. Of course we had to get one of all the dads & sons (Nick, Matt, Brian & Dave) and the little boys themselves (Isaac 4 mos, Ryan 5 mos, Colson 5 mos, Wesley 7 mos).

It was great to get together and to get the boys together!

Colson's first time in a pool! At Nick's Uncle Terry's house ... he did pretty good. He didn't cry, but he didn't seem to really enjoy it yet. He was still trying to figure out what was going on!
