Colson and I went to Walgreens and picked out a father's day card and a fun recordable book called "dad & me" ... you can record for each page and we did it early father's day morning while Nick was shaving and Sloane was taking a nap ... thank-god Colson cooperated and the recording went relatively smoothly (only had to re-record one page!).
We had a spontaneous day, starting with a family trip to the asian grocery store. Per Nick's request we picked up vietnemese sandwiches for lunch and some fresh seafood for dinner -- oysters and I sauteed some fresh clams served with steamed rice.
Both kids took 2 1/2 hour naps that afternoon and so did mom and dad!
